ThriveWorks Ghana works directly with minors. Keeping them safe is not a policy on a shelf; it's a condition of everything else we do. Here is our commitment in plain terms, and how to raise a concern if you ever need to.
Our Policy
ThriveWorks Ghana has a written Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy (version 1.1, approved by our Executive Council on 13 August 2026) covering every programme we run, including recruitment and vetting, our code of conduct, transport, photography and consent, digital safety and AI tools, and how concerns are reported and handled.
This published edition contains every substantive commitment and procedure in full. In keeping with our safeguarding practice, direct personal contact details for named individuals are left out; the internal appendices (incident report form, printed contact sheet, and personnel sign-off form) are available to partners, funders and regulators on request.
Vetting and Induction
Every person who has contact with our beneficiaries, staff and volunteers alike, is vetted and inducted on our safeguarding policy before that contact begins. There is no exception for short-term or one-off volunteers.
Who's Responsible
ThriveWorks Ghana has a named Designated Safeguarding Lead and a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, responsible for this policy and for handling any concern raised under it. In keeping with safeguarding good practice, we don't publish individual staff members' names or personal contact details on this page.
